Ingredients
  

Chicken

  • 1.5 lb boneless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter

Sauce

  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 0.75 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme

Instructions
 

  • Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  • Sear chicken in hot skillet until golden, then remove.
  • Cook shallots and garlic in the same skillet.
  • Deglaze with apple cider and simmer.
  • Add broth, mustard, and return chicken to pan.
  • Simmer until chicken is cooked through.
  • Stir in cream and herbs, simmer gently.
  • Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs.

Notes

Use fresh apple cider for best flavor and avoid boiling once cream is added.
