Ingredients
  

Hash Brown Base

  • 3 cups shredded hash browns thawed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 cup shredded cheese cheddar or mozzarella

Egg Filling

  • 6 eggs large

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  • Squeeze excess moisture from hash browns using a kitchen towel.
  • Mix hash browns with oil, seasoning, and cheese.
  • Press mixture into muffin cups to form nests.
  • Bake 18–20 minutes until lightly golden.
  • Crack one egg into each nest.
  • Bake an additional 12–15 minutes until eggs are set.
  • Cool briefly, garnish, and serve.

Notes

For extra crispiness, ensure potatoes are very dry before baking.
