Ingredients
  

Banana Bread Batter

  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon optional
  • 0.5 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

Chocolate Glaze

  • 0.5 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.25 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan.
  • Mash bananas in a large bowl. Whisk in melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  • In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture gently.
  • Stir in sour cream or yogurt.
  • Pour batter into pan and smooth top.
  • Bake 50–55 minutes. Cool completely.
  • Heat cream and butter, pour over chocolate chips and stir smooth.
  • Drizzle glaze over cooled bread and let set.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for best flavor and moisture.
