Ingredients
  

Sauce Base

  • 0.5 cup soy sauce low sodium
  • 0.25 cup chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tbsp crushed red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 0.25 cup honey or brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with water

Instructions
 

  • Heat sesame oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant.
  • Stir in soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, red pepper flakes, honey, and rice vinegar.
  • Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  • Whisk cornstarch with water and add to sauce.
  • Cook until thick and glossy, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat and cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Adjust sweetness and heat to personal preference.
