Ingredients
  

Dough

  • 3.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2.25 tsp instant yeast
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.75 cup whole milk warm
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 egg large
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 0.5 tsp salt

Filling

  • 1 cup pistachios finely ground
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp cardamom optional

Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp milk or cream
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until foamy.
  • Mix in butter, eggs, salt, and flour until dough forms.
  • Knead until smooth and elastic.
  • Let rise until doubled in size.
  • Mix pistachio filling ingredients.
  • Roll dough, spread filling, roll into log.
  • Slice into 12 rolls and let rise again.
  • Bake at 350°F for 22–25 minutes.
  • Whisk glaze and drizzle over warm rolls.

Notes

Best served warm. Store covered up to 2 days.
