Ingredients
  

Croissant Bake

  • 6 butter croissants day-old preferred
  • 1.5 cups chocolate chips semi-sweet or dark
  • 4 eggs large
  • 1.5 cups whole milk
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  • Tear croissants into chunks and layer half in the dish.
  • Sprinkle half the chocolate over the croissants.
  • Repeat layers with remaining croissants and chocolate.
  • Whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugars, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
  • Pour custard over croissants and gently press to soak.
  • Drizzle melted butter on top.
  • Bake 35–40 minutes until golden and set. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm for best gooey texture. Excellent with powdered sugar or ice cream.
