Ingredients
  

Cake Batter

  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1.25 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup ground pistachios unsalted
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare cake pans.
  • Mix dry ingredients together in a bowl.
  • Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then add eggs and vanilla.
  • Fold in pistachios, then alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk.
  • Bake until set and cool completely.

Notes

Use fresh or frozen raspberries; both work well.
