Ingredients
  

Meatloaf Layer

  • 1.5 lb ground beef 80/20
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup onion finely diced
  • 2 tbsp ketchup

Mac and Cheese Layer

  • 3 cups elbow macaroni cooked
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  • Mix all meatloaf ingredients and press evenly into the baking dish.
  • Cook macaroni until al dente and set aside.
  • Prepare cheese sauce by making a roux and melting cheese into milk.
  • Combine macaroni with cheese sauce.
  • Spread mac and cheese over meatloaf layer.
  • Bake covered for 25 minutes, uncover and bake 15–20 minutes more.

Notes

Let rest before slicing for clean layers.
