Ingredients
  

Mashed Potatoes

  • 2 lbs potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 4 tbsp butter

Beef Filling

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup peas and carrots frozen
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp thyme dried

Gravy

  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1.5 cups beef broth

Instructions
 

  • Boil potatoes in salted water until fork-tender. Drain and mash with butter and milk.
  • Brown ground beef in skillet. Add onion and garlic and cook until soft.
  • Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • Add peas and carrots and cook 2 minutes.
  • Sprinkle flour, stir, and slowly add beef broth to form gravy.
  • Simmer until thickened.
  • Spoon mashed potatoes into bowls and top with beef mixture.

Add shredded cheese or parsley for extra flavor.
