Ingredients
  

Shawarma Chicken

  • 2.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 large onion thinly sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.25 cup olive oil
  • 0.25 cup lemon juice fresh
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp paprika smoked if possible
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp allspice optional
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Whisk olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and all spices together in a bowl.
  • Add chicken and toss until fully coated.
  • Place sliced onion in bottom of slow cooker and top with chicken and marinade.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  • Shred chicken and return to slow cooker juices.
  • Optional: Broil shredded chicken 3–5 minutes for crispy edges.
  • Serve warm in wraps, bowls, or salads.
