Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough

  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon optional
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cup maple syrup pure
  • 1 cup white chocolate chunks

Optional Add-ins

  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 0.5 cup dried cranberries

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In a large bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in egg, vanilla extract, and maple syrup until well combined.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  • Fold in white chocolate chunks and optional add-ins.
  • Drop dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart, and slightly flatten.
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool 5 minutes on sheet before transferring to wire rack.
  • Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.

Notes

For extra maple flavor, drizzle with maple syrup while warm.
