Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough

  • 1 cup European-style salted butter softened
  • 0.66 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 egg yolks large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp fine sea salt
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • flaky sea salt for topping

Instructions
 

  • Cream butter and sugar until pale and smooth.
  • Add egg yolks and vanilla, mixing until combined.
  • Whisk flour, salt, and baking powder separately.
  • Mix dry ingredients into butter mixture until dough forms.
  • Chill dough for at least 1 hour.
  • Slice or cut dough and place on lined baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and bake at 350°F for 12–15 minutes.
  • Cool completely before serving.
