Ingredients
  

Butter Bar Dough

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt

Caramel Filling

  • 1.5 cups caramel sauce thick
  • 1 tsp flaky sea salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13 pan with parchment.
  • Whisk melted butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Mix in flour, baking powder, and salt to form dough.
  • Press two-thirds of dough into prepared pan.
  • Spread caramel over base and sprinkle with sea salt.
  • Drop remaining dough on top and gently spread.
  • Bake 30–35 minutes until lightly golden.
  • Cool completely before slicing.

Notes

For extra gooey texture, slightly underbake and cool fully before cutting.
