Ingredients
  

Soup Base

  • 2 tbsp olive oil or sesame oil
  • 1 small onion or shallot chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic sliced
  • 4 cups vegetable or chicken broth
  • 0.5 tsp salt or to taste
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp turmeric optional

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a soup pot over medium heat.
  • Add onion or shallot and sauté until translucent.
  • Stir in ginger and garlic, cooking briefly until fragrant.
  • Pour in broth and season with salt, pepper, and turmeric.
  • Simmer gently for 20–25 minutes.
  • Adjust seasoning and serve hot with garnish.

Notes

Add lemon juice or soy sauce to adjust flavor before serving.
