Ingredients
  

Beef Filling

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20
  • 1 yellow onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste or salsa

Assembly

  • 12 hard taco shells
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheese cheddar or Mexican blend

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking sheet.
  • Cook ground beef with onion until browned. Add garlic and seasoning.
  • Stir in tomato paste or salsa and simmer 5 minutes.
  • Stand taco shells on baking sheet and fill with beef.
  • Top with shredded cheese.
  • Bake 10–15 minutes until shells are crispy and cheese melted.

Notes

Do not overfill shells to keep them crispy.
